Cavendish Group and the Boao Forum for Asia launch the International Capital Conference in Beijing.

Boao Forum for Asia and Cavendish Group launched the International Capital Conference at a press conference in Beijing. The conference will take place in London and is the first Boao Forum for Asia to be held outside of Asia.
Mr Long Yongtu, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia and former Minister of Commerce for China, announced the event to Chinese media. The news was aired on Chinese national TV (CCTV4) that evening.
Mr Long said the conference will have an in-depth discussion on how Chinese enterprises can take advantage of London capital market for investment and capital raising. "This international investment conference will prove to be a grand feast tailor-designed for Chinese enterprises," Mr Long said.
The British Ambassador to China, Sir William Ehrmann addressed the press conference expressing his support for mutually benefitial business initiatives between Britain and China.
The ICC will attract a record number of C-level Chinese delegates from a cross-section of the Chinese economy. The conference will focus on prominent issues of capital raising strategies and overseas mergers and acquisitions. Subjects will include private equity, IPOs and corporate bonds.
The International Capital Conference will take place at Central Hall Westminster, London on 3-5 June 2008.
